dooce has some photos up today of wrapping her dog's nose in spaghetti.
$100 later, I find I should have just stuck with the holistic approach I have been taking to Stella's itchy feet. I've been dosing her with brewer's yeast and corn oil, and washing her in Allergroom, and giving her Benadryl. Turns out the only thing I was doing wrong was not giving her enough benadryl. Anyway, she's fine. She got to play with her Shiba Inu buddy Kenji this morning, I must get a picture cos those two are quite the pair.
I did meet the man who checked Stella into Animal Control when she was first brought in as a stray. She looooves going back to ACC, which really speaks to the quality of care she received there. Turns out someone named Juan Angel (anyone who reads Francesca Lia Block may find that a fun fact) found her wandering on the GReat Highway by Golden Gate Park. She had a black nylon collar, so she was someone's dog. Perhaps at six months she had outgrown puppy cuteness. Whatever the cause, she was picked up and brought to ACC, where she stayed for two months until we adopted her.
Thanks to Juan Angel, SF ACC, and to everyone who adopts dogs who need homes.
